I had an interesting thing happen today. It actually began yesterday when I received an apparently overdue BC Hydro bill. I thought I had paid my bill in full?
Fast forward to this morning...at 6:36 a.m. the power went out! At around 7:00 I decided to call BC Hydro to see if they were aware of the outage and to get an update. The recorded message stated that because of all the power outages there was a longer than normal wait to talk with a rep, ugh! Well, I got right through and informed the nice rep of the outage and he replied back that they were aware of it and a crew were being dispatched and the power should be back on by around 9:30. He asked if there was anything else he could help me with? So, I asked him about my apparent overdue bill. He asked me if I knew that I had a credit for just over $80? I said NO! The rep subtracted the overdue amount from my credit and issued a cheque for the remaining amount.
Well, if the power had not gone out I would never have found out about my credit!
One of life's little miracles happening now and not just for me, but hopefully for many, many, many!
